Choosing a Breed!

First off, I want to start by saying you don’t have to have a breed to be a kitten, or a puppy or whatever pet you may be! It’s totally unnecessary and completely up to you!

But if you are trying to find a breed, and don’t know where to start, here are some tips!

  • Find a list of cat breeds, and read through the personality descriptions and such of any breeds that interest you!
  • Google “cat breeds” plus whatever characteristic you may be looking for; i.e. short-haired, long-haired, whatever you desire!
  • Mix it up! You don’t have to be a single breed, just as you don’t have to be only one type of pet (though it’s totally okay if you are, as well!). Perhaps you like the appearance of one breed, but the personality of another, so why not combine the two? You could be an Angora-Ragdoll, or a Siamese-British shorthair!

Moral of the story: Do whatever feels right to you! There are no guidelines for picking a breed! You can be whatever you want to be! And as for me? I’m an American Bobtail, which is why you usually won’t see me with a tail!

Lots of Love,

Vex <3

Often wondered how people choose a breed, I myself have not chosen one, when choosing gear I go for my fav colours but I see many Kittens sticking to a specific breed. I guess perhaps I do not know enough about ‘bio’ cat breeds to understand which I am most like. I will try this our of curiosity
