Il Ballo Del Doge – The most glamorous Venetian Carnival party in the world

 

Il Ballo del Doge is the most famous ball in Venice, if not one of the most famous balls in the world. Want to meet a Prince? This is the place to do it! Imagine being taken on a gondola ride across the Venice canals in a long gown to a beautiful Venetian palace for a decadent evening of dancing,  food and performances. The venue is full of the most beautiful people and costumes, and the tickets are pricey but well worth it, it is the most popular ball during the Venetian Carnival in February.

In the enchanting world of the French Quarter sits a little art gallery on Royal street known as “Tresor” Home to famous artists such as Kevin Thayer and Tim Burton. The Chateau was recently lucky enough to be invited to visit while staying in New Orleans, and the following article is an outline in pictures of the gallery and the guest visit.

Finally, the gallery has it’s very own studio manager! A cat named Bootsey! The girls thoroughly enjoyed visited Tresor gallery and will be sure to return next year. Below I will include a picture of the ultra cute Bootsey.

Oh for the love of Macarons..

Of course we all love Ladurée, but Sucre holds a special place in the cat girl’s heart close behind!

There is no doubt that macarons have found their way heavily into kittenplay culture recently. Sucre is a chain of Macaron stores based in New Orleans, Louisiana. There are currently three boutique stores open in their chain and one champagne bar. Today we are going to focus on the location closest to Royal street.

Not to mention a multitude of flavors, even including more recently “Absinthe” Which I think is pretty unique as even Laduree does not have an Absinthe flavored macaron currently. My second favourite flavor would have to be the chocolate dipped with 24k gold leaf on top!

And best of all, their location near Royal street in the french quarter has a champagne bar upstairs!

Pictured above is the champagne bar that is upstairs from Sucre macaron store. Finally as Sucre is located in the beautiful town of New Orleans, so of course it has it’s very own Mardi gras themed macarons! Aren’t they cute!?

A strong leader in the market they provide sturdy leather kitten collars in a variety of designs suitable for heavy play. They were also the first company to incorporate themed or animal shaped bells. Their collars range in price from $20-$58. Despite the higher end price tag they are well worth it, especially for the sets that include both collar and matching wrist cuffs with bells. They also more recently have started offering metal collar options.

Wild West Birthday

Peek into Skylark’s Wild west themed kittenplay Birthday

 

Skylark had her birthday last night, it was hosted at a wild west ghost town, complete with murder mystery and costumes! There was burlesque and live performance, everyone was required to be in costume dating to the 1800 wild west. There was even a complete saloon with champagne being served and Birthday cake, they also had photoshoots throughout the night with a professional photographer. Thanks to everyone who came it was such a fun night we will definitely be doing it again next year!
