Cica Kitten FAQ – What is a Cica Kitten?

  1. What is a Cica kitten within kittenplay, what does it represent in the Chateau?

A lot of the Chateau is just the revival of dresses and gowns, as well as classic lingerie, peignoirs, burlesque, crosests, elegance, etc with a touch of BDSM kittenplay protocol thrown in. Think of it more like a Geisha choice of life, more like finishing school, less like just being a model for a magazine. A Cica kitten girl in The Chateau is more like a lifestyle choice that a model can make, a Cica should represent the height of femininity, she is 18-24, as it’s important to note, the minimal age legally to register for the Chateau is legally 18 years and older.

  • How does a Cica kitten behave?

a Cica is sweet, kind and beautiful, desired by all! Recognized by her kitten ears and silver collar, she should represent this at realtime Chateau events and all social activities she attends. She should be the sort of creature than men will fall over backwards for and shower with trinkets and roses. She oozes a cuteness that both men and women long to be in her presence, she also possess an innocence of character that the Mayka, her older kitten sister does not, but she has a wild side and knows how to entertain at parties and have fun, she is educated, the sort of girl who owns corsets, she may even be corset trained, can dance, paint and sing and even serve tea in a kitten/owner ceremony like setting, she may also know burlesque, like traditional ancient skills, she is a revival of ancient arts of traditional beauty and allure, the Cica is a rare creature to be treasured.  <3

  • Are all Chateau girls Cica?

No, to become a Cica, or Mayka for that matter is purely a choice of the model within The Chateau, not all models become one or have to become one.

  • What is the minimum requirement to become a Cica or Mayka?

All Cica/Mayka must attend a series of summer classes in order to earn the title and have attended at least one real time Chateau event. Is also worth noting you cannot become a Mayka until you are 25 years or older.

  • Is this a sexual thing?

Much like the Geisha is no longer a sexual thing, and more arts based, neither is the Cica, a lot of the arts taught are like the traditional skills of the Courtesan (singing, painting, dancing etc) However that is not to say they do not have a sensual application, meaning, if you want to take those skills and use them in your personal relationships with your partners in the bedroom then absolutely you can, the portions like the tea ceremonies and shibari classes could definitely be used within BDSM protocols for events and the bedroom. For the most part however, think of this more as a Victorian Finishing school with the focus on etiquette that you can take with you and use in your day to day life.

  • How can you recognize a Cica or Mayka kitten over other kittens?

Cica kittens and Mayka receive a special metal diamond shaped tag with swarovski crystals after completing classes at the Chateau, this tag is unique and not available elsewhere, the tag is engraved with Cica or Mayka on it, once the girl has earned the title, it is also added to their official Chateau profiles and allowed to be added to their social media accounts. they can wear that tag on their chateau collar as a symbol of their status within The Chateau.

  • How do I become a Cica?

You must first be a Pearl level or above model within the Chateau to be eligible to train/take classes for the Cica or Mayka title. You must be between 18-24 years old. Anyone who is Pearl level or above can state they are a Cica in training if they are intending on attending classes in the future, likewise anyone over 25 can state they are a Mayka in training with The Chateau.

  • When is the next series of classes/finishing school for Cica/Mayka?

The next classes are June 24th to June 27th held at The Chateau cat girl manor and on it’s grounds, you can find out more details here: – https://www.facebook.com/events/804835192972030/

  • What if I am over 24 years old? Am I still eligible to become a Cica?

No, however you are still eligible for becoming a Mayka in status, but you must still complete the classes a Cica would take first.

A visit to Catfe Vancouver’s Cat Cafe!

After a long wait, I was finally able to go visit all of the kitties at Vancouver’s Catfe. The one month wait and 11am time slot was definitely worth the wait!

First up, we paid our admission ($8 or $5 with purchase) and got some adorable cat shaped food and beverages!

Cupcakes Catte (Latte) and macroons!

The layout was awesome, and inspired me that purrrhaps we should bring some kitty friendly shelving to the Chateau!

They had many toys and games for us kitties to play with at Catfe. Boardgames all had a cat theme and were fun for breaking the ice and making new friends with other kitten lovers!

Finally I was able to to break myself away from all of the dangly things and sneak in a visit with a couple of the resident kittehs, this one here is Jersey, he was a little shy at first, but very affectionate!

PicMonkey Collagess

A quick play on the scratching post and it was time to be on my way! Another visit is in order soon for more yummy kitty macaroons and cat cuddles! Maybe I will have enough time for Catopoly

The kittens at Catfe are all from BC SPCA, and are available for adoption, also, a portion of the proceeds goes to a different cat shelter every month. February’s shelter was C.A.R.E.S.

Below are the kittens that we visited with.

Sailing the Tenacious Grace

The name of our boat was Tenacious Grace. When I was 13, my parents who had grown up on the prairies and never sailed a boat in their lives, decided to move our family of four onto a sailboat for just over a year. We bought this gorgeous Seawind 1150 catamaran and sailed her down from Seattle WA all the way down the West Coast and into the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.

Even though we had no money left, it was a luxurious yet simple way of life. I spent hours lounging on the deck soaking up the tropical sun and sea salt air. We snorkeled on remote, colourful coral reefs and played on white sands untouched by tourists and crowds. We ate amazing street food and barbecued large fish we caught not fifteen minutes prior. It was an amazing way of life, one that I dearly miss. Sleep when you’re tired, eat when hungry, no schedules no appointments. You just go with the flow, follow the wind and the sun.  You meet someone and ask if they want to go to lunch and you go, no calendars, no schedules, no worries.

One of the most amazing things about the journey was that in all other aspects, my parents were your perfectly normal, average middle-class folk. You don’t need money or to wait for ‘the right time’ to pursue your dreams, you just need to sink your teeth into a dream and chase it tenaciously. I didn’t think I, your average middle-class Canadian woman, would ever get into The Chateau but it was a dream I pursued and leapt for, claws outstretched. I want to end on that note. Whatever your dreams are, pursue them for all you’re worth, no matter what, because you might end up in the middle of the greatest adventure of your life.

Christmas Kitten Guide!

  • A little guide to add a fun sparkle to the holiday season, if you have an amenable Master/Daddy/Sir of course 😉

❄You must stay warm and comfortable as the temperatures drop outside. Make a nest out of all of Masters clothes to keep warm. You’re also providing the service of scenting him.

❄Let your human know just how much you appreciate the new climbing frame/scratch post covered in shiny toys! Make sure you play with every one, trees are made for climbing after all.

❄Remember: Master is ALWAYS happy to be your heater. Snuggle up and steal the warmth that is rightfully yours (cold paws especially)

❄Yes, of course you can eat all that chocolate/candy/cookies. Cat’s have thicker fur in winter to stay warm.

❄It’s a box! And wrapping paper! Discard it’s contents and make it your throne immediately, no matter the size. If I fits I sits.

❄Put on your jingliest bells and wake Master up with mewled renditions of his favourite Christmas songs, he’ll love the seasonal wake up call.

Champagne is of course the only acceptable beverage for Christmas, make sure Master knows this and serves it in your crystal bowl. Don’t have one? Master must contact Santa immediately and have one delivered.

❄Any present wrapping that you can’t get Master to do must be done with kitten style. Everyone loves glitter and confetti, make sure everyone gets enough!

❄No matter what Master says fairy lights ARE a viable outfit choice, the tree can be nakey.

❄Snow is not as fun as it looks on sensitive paws, moisturise and wear gloves when showing Master the snowballs up close (and remember to duck any return fire!)

❄Mistletoe is always useful to get the attention you so rightly deserve.

❄Replace all the jokes in the Christmas crackers with reminders of how amazingly cute and wonderful you are.

❄Put a picture of yourself at the top of the tree, you’re the only angel Master needs.

❄Make sure Master knows that you are all the present he needs, wrapped up in ribbons and bows. Make him write a thank you note when he’s unwrapped his gift.

If you can think of any other tips and tricks for the holiday season comment below! Merry Christmas! ❆⛄

A Very Vancouver Christmas!

vancouver Christmas

Finally with a day off work, today was spent enjoying some of the amazing Christmas activities that Vancouver has to offer. First off, I made the trip down Santaland to visit the world famous Santa Clause and find out if I have been naughty or nice and hopefully sneak in my Christmas List!! The line was very long and took two hours but finally I was able to see the Jolly Man in Red, we shared a few Ho Ho Ho’s and then I was on my way to let the little ones have some of his time. (Santa land was wonderful this year as you can see in the link found  here )

Second spot on the list was right downtown Vancouver at the Vancouver Hyatt hotel’s Gingerbread Lane!! There were such amazing entries this year, but I always fall in love with the large one, this year it was of the Hyatt herself!

PicMonkey Collage 3

Next destination was to be the Four Seasons Festival of Trees, which I have been attending since I was too little to reach the ornaments on the tree! But of course, no Holiday trek to the hotel is complete without a stop at Holt Renfrew to admire the luxe decor and to get a head start on next years list!

PicMonkey Collage

I instantly fell in love with a tree as soon as I walked through the Hyatt lobby doors, it was clearly a match made in heaven (and I can even reach the tiny bottles now and snag them off of the tree!)

PicMonkey Collage 2

Last but not least I visited Burnaby Winter Wonderland at Burnaby Village Museum (where my Back to School Set was taken.) It’s even more beautiful at night, filled with millions of sparkling lights. A cup of coco in hand, I wondered around the village for a while, getting lost in the sounds of old timey Christmas music while I took in the sights. Just as I was about to leave the park, I noticed a door, behind that door was Father Christmas, fortunately he assured me that he would get my last minute additions to my Christmas list off to Santa Claus before he makes his trip around the world!

PicMonkey Collage 4

I made it home to curl up in front of the fire after a nice long day, thinking that there are still so many more Vancouver activities that I have yet to do before Christmas, but for now, champagne and head rubs!!

And as Promised, here is Santa <3

I hope that you all are having an amazing Holiday Season thus far~

Choosing a formal collar for the dominate kitten

Welcome back. Here I am it being a nice quiet winter evening and I realize I have not been gifted with a “formal collar”.  Now what a formal collar means to me, is one I can where out to the theater, dinner around non-kitten lifestyle individuals and not have to explain.

Some days I wish to remain under the wire, discrete not that I believe there is anything wring with my lifestyle choices more that I am not interested in engaging or explaining.  In a similar way celebrities my wish to just fit in for the ease of their day.

I live the majority of my time either extremely casual due to my very active physical activities or dressed to 9’s and rather tastefully.

My needs for a formal collars needs first and foremost comfort, beauty and elegance, ease of application and removal and finally cost.  As I google “gold fancy collars” I am hit with pages of pet plat for Fifi or fido, heavy duty industrial grade slave collars and then fashion collars.  I find the market is lacking an extensive couture non-webbing formal collar.

I did find I fancied Agent Provocateur’s gold and   swarovski “diamond” collar and cuff set with matching chain connectors for the “mere” investment of $795 for the collar and $795 for the cuff set.  Now this IS the premiere desired collar set for THE pampered kitten.http://www.agentprovocateur.com/us_en/crystal-collar-gold

Now if this invest is a bit too rich for your taste, I suggest looking at Etsy, Mockingbirdlanewire, which makes custom fancy metal collar designers. I found one designer which caught this kitten’s eye like a squirrel on a tree limb. Her collars start around $49 USD easy up to $300 plus. From stock to custom metals, charms, clasp closures and neck size. Not AP is on one size for neck and stock sizes for wrist cuffs. Not a good choice of your size is outside the standard.

I found https://www.etsy.com/listing/60851974/made-to-order-fancy-slave-collar-mixed?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_branded-jewelry&utm_custom1=6b1071f2-825b-f588-63dd-00002a925f8c&gclid=CjwKEAiAy7SzBRD_lv7quOnr6XUSJAAOLkW6kpmjEichVXfvp1E56WOOlkmGqWQAegtfL-3a7LZFbhoCWj_w_wcB.

I have yet to test drive either collar but I have my eye on both. I will be requesting to my maitre my interest in both.

I find having options for the many facets in my life which also includes kitten play is ideal.  As being a mature kitten, and what I define as a mature kitten in one over 35, and with a child in high school, discretion is ideal.

I shall continue my search on fancy collars options and update as I field test some.

Till then happy pettings and submitting.

Choosing a Breed!

First off, I want to start by saying you don’t have to have a breed to be a kitten, or a puppy or whatever pet you may be! It’s totally unnecessary and completely up to you!

But if you are trying to find a breed, and don’t know where to start, here are some tips!

  • Find a list of cat breeds, and read through the personality descriptions and such of any breeds that interest you!
  • Google “cat breeds” plus whatever characteristic you may be looking for; i.e. short-haired, long-haired, whatever you desire!
  • Mix it up! You don’t have to be a single breed, just as you don’t have to be only one type of pet (though it’s totally okay if you are, as well!). Perhaps you like the appearance of one breed, but the personality of another, so why not combine the two? You could be an Angora-Ragdoll, or a Siamese-British shorthair!

Moral of the story: Do whatever feels right to you! There are no guidelines for picking a breed! You can be whatever you want to be! And as for me? I’m an American Bobtail, which is why you usually won’t see me with a tail!

Lots of Love,

Vex <3
